Bronze axe head poured at the recent Umha Aois bro

Bronze axe head poured at the recent Umha Aois bronze age symposium.
The mould was made of two pieces of Innisbofin soapstone, with a negative relief carved into each stone. The stones were held together with wet leather straps, while the bronze (melted in an oak charcol furnace) was poured.
Much appreciation to the folks that shared their knowledge and passion for this part of true Irish heritage.
